Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will felicitate several people involved in renovating the Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri during his visit for reopening the temple complex on Monday.
As part of the reopening programme, the ongoing Maha Kumbha Samprokshana is slated to conclude with the Maha Purnahuthi on Monday between 9 am and 2 pm, after which the renovated temple complex will be opened for devotees.
Endowments minister Indrakaran Reddy said all arrangements and security reviews had been done for the grand occasion. All ministers, MLAs, MPs, MLCs, and Zilla Parishad chairman along with family members had been invited for the ceremony, he added.
“Over the last five years, the Chief Minister has taken special interest in the temple’s renovation. He took personal decisions besides visiting and inspecting the construction works on various occasions.”
The minister said the temple had been strategically built with a vision to achieve longevity for the next 1,000 years. Massive response was received from people of all walks of life for the uniqueness of the structure built with black granite, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, government whip and MLA Gongidi Sunitha said the deity Lakshminarasimha Swamy would be moved to the new temple complex in a religious procession (Shobha Yatra) after the conclusion of the Maha Purnahuthi on Monday.
“We request devotees to arrive at the temple only after 3 pm, in view of the procession and VIP movement in the temple. Arrangements have been made to provide meals to all the devotees,” she explained, adding that people who were at the forefront of the temple’s renovation would be felicitated by the Chief Minister inside the temple complex, as part of the reopening programme. The stapathis, pundits, architects, engineers, and officials who were involved in the Yadadri project would be felicitated, she said.
Earlier in the day, the endowments minister, along with Sunitha, police and local officials, reviewed the accommodation facilities, drinking water, food, traffic management, parking and protocol arrangements. Arrangements have also been made for setting up a help desk to assist devotees.
