Thiruvananthapuram police hunt for 2 missing school girls
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police has sought the help of the public to trace two teenage girls who have gone missing from Thiruvananthapuram since Friday. The police said Nandana R. Ratheesh and Renju R, both ninth standard students of Pattom Girl’s High school, went missing from near Medical College on Friday. Their friends saw them boarding an auto-rickshaw for home late in the evening. A senior police officer said the girls might have arrived late as usual and chose to run away fearing consequences.
“We had searched the houses of their friends with no luck. They have not much money with them to go far away,” the officer said. The girls had identified themselves as sworn travel buddies but were barred by the parents from roaming around. They also had told the girls to be careful about their friends. Those with information of the girls can contact Medical College Police Station at 0471-2443145 or contact the station house officer on 9497987008.
