YSRC releases song, makes it their campaign slogan
Vijayawada: The YSRC on Monday released the campaign song, Ravali Jagan, Kavali Jagan (Jagan should come, We want Jagan), for the upcoming election. The title of the song is also the official slogan of the campaign.
The song was launched in the presence of top YSRC leaders, including Mr V. Vijaya Sai Reddy, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana, Mr Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, Mr Sagidurga Prasad Raju. Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy and Mr Satyanarayana said the song spoke of how the people were fed up with AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his government and why people wanted Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy. “We will be taking this song and the slogan to the grassroot level and ensure that everyone hears it,” they said.
The leaders said that the song had been created by the Indian Political Action Committee, after talking to thousands of people across Andhra Pradesh during the last year.
“The song captures the mood of the people who are fed up by the false promises of the current dispensation. The people have no trust in Naidu and his government and have made up their mind to bring Mr Jagan and YSRC to power,” a leader said.
Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy and Mr Satyanarayana said that along with recognising Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy as the only one who could fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people, the song brings together the voice of the people from different regions and channels the outcry of various sections of society.
“The lyrics describe how the lives of people belonging from the Backward Castes are burdened by loans, how women were cheated in the name of DWCRA loan waiver and how they were cheated with false promises of jobs and the pain that was being felt by pensioners,” another leader said.
