NIA brings twin blasts accused to Kochi

NIA is likely to seek his custody.

Kochi: Mohammed Ashar, the accused in the Kozhikode twin blasts case who was arrested in New Delhi, was brought to Kochi by the NIA team on Friday evening. Ashar, the second accused, arrived at Cochin International Airport Limited, accompanied by NIA officers from Kochi and New Delhi. He is likely to be produced at the residence of NIA Court Judge in Kochi on Saturday. NIA is likely to seek his custody.

The cases pertain to the twin improvised explosive device blasts that occurred at KSRTC and mofussil bus stands in Kozhikode on March 3, 2006, causing injuries to two persons.
