All-party meet on January 29, says Vundavalli Aruna Kumar
Rajahmundry: Expressing disappointment over how neither the ruling TD nor the Opposition YSR Congress managed to expose the injustice meted out to the residuary state of AP, after bifurcation in the Lok Sabha, former MP Vundavalli Aruna Kumar called for a meeting with all the major political parties to work out a common agenda to safeguard the interests of the state on January 29 at Vijayawada.
Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, the former MP said that he is hopeful of working out a common agenda to further the interests of the residuary state of AP by taking up the injustice being done to it in the Lok Sabha to be formed after the conduct of elections. He said that Congress AP chief N. Raghuveera Reddy and the CPI and CPM leaders K. Ramakrishna and P. Madhu respectively had expressed their willingness to attend the meet and added that BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana had assured to make efforts to attend the meeting or send a representative if he failed to attend.
He also said that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan expressed his willingness to attend the meeting while YSR Congress leader Y.V. Subba Reddy was not interested to attend the meeting as the party was unwilling to share the common dais with the TD. He said that the ruling TD is yet to respond on the proposed meeting. He said that it was proposed to organise the meeting with a good intention to get a better deal for the state from the Centre.
