CBI officer who probed Satyam scam gets President's Police Medal

A.Y.V. Krishna, joint director, Hyderabad, had probed the multi-crore Satyam scam and filed a chargesheet within three months.

New Delhi: CBI officers who probed Satyam, Vyapam and demonetisations-related cases are among 28 officers who have been honoured with President’s Police Medal for distinguished service and Police Medal for meritorious service.

A.Y.V. Krishna, joint director, Hyderabad, had probed the multi-crore Satyam scam and filed a chargesheet within three months. His probe saw the conviction of Satyam chief B. Ramalinga Raju. He has got the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

Scam busters get their worth at last
DIG Tarun Gauba, posted in Chandigarh, was involved in the probe of the Vyapam scam. He has been honoured with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

P.C. Thenmozhi, SP, posted in Chennai, has been instrumental in confiscating and detecting illegal currency exchange after demonetisation of '1,000 and '500 notes on November 8. He has also been honoured with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

Other officers who have been awarded with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service include many valiant officers such as SP Sushil Prasad Singh and others. The officers who have been given the Police Medal for Meritorious Service include: Deputy director (admin) Gyanendra Kumar Verma, DIG Atul Digambar Fulzele; DSPs K. Pradeep Kumar and Pramod Kumar.
