HC to Telangana: Fill junior PR posts

The government said it could not give appointment orders to 9,355 selected candidates due to the stay.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court directed the government to publish the category- wise cut-off marks for the selection of junior panchayat secretaries to make the process transparent.

Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, while hearing the government’s plea to vacate the stay granted on December 19, asked it to publish the cut-off marks based on the reservation quota for each district on the website by December 25.

The government said it could not give appointment orders to 9,355 selected candidates due to the stay.

The court also directed the state to publish the marks of selected non-local candidates under the five per cent quota. It sought an affidavit on the compliance of its directions on December 26.

Justice Ramachandra Rao said that reservation roster should be followed according to the rules. He asked the government for details of OC, BC, SC, ST, sports quota reservations.

Responding to petitions on violations of rules for sports reservations, the court asked the government for a report.
