Kerala: 31 start-ups to get Rs 2.64 crore as aid

Kochi: Some 31 start-ups and student teams who presented a range of innovative technology solutions at the Grand Idea Day of Kerala Startup Mission here will get a financial assistance of Rs 2.64 crore.The KSUM selected them from the 49 grand ideas from 241 applications. “The Idea Day is a solution for the startups finding it hard to find a source of funding and promote their products. They presented their ideas in four categories,” said Ashok Panjikaran, manager
of KSUM.

"Startups presented solutions across different sectors, including hardware, internet of things (IoT), enterprise resource planning (ERP), platforms and aggregators, Blockchain, AR/VR and artificial intelligence (AI). These are startups and innovators working on their ideas, and those trying to productize their concept or scale up their existing products." The amount to be given to each startup will be according to the nature of the projects presented and their potential for global marketing and development. The Idea Day has so far released grants to more than 25 startups, students and individuals. The next Idea Day in January.
