GHMC catches monkeys, dogs at President house
A GHMC official said the civic body had carryied out anti-larval operations during the day and fogging operations at night.
Hyderabad: The GHMC caught seven monkeys and 13 stray dogs at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bollarum, during a three-day drive prior to President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Hyderabad.
An expert team will maintain round-the-clock vigil not only for animals but also for intruders. Security has also been tightened on the premises, which has five types of fruit gardens spread over 30 acres. The Rashtrapati Nilayam, spread over 90 acres, is infested with several pests and snakes.
A GHMC official said the civic body had carryied out anti-larval operations during the day and fogging operations at night. The monkeys have been left in the forest and dogs taken away by veterinary teams.
