Chennai: Even as I-T sleuths are continuing their raids against former chief secretary Rama Mohana Rao, his son and his associates, the former IAS officer was rushed to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC), following complaints of chest pain in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to hospital sources, he was admitted to the hospital at 1.30 am after he felt chest pain and discomfort. He was later moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is under observation.
Though the hospital sources confirmed that the top IAS officer, put on the compulsory waiting list, is stable and that there is nothing to worry about his health, they failed to brief about the treatment being given to him in the ICU.
