HYDERABAD: The Malkajgiri SOT officials,along with the Kushaiguda Police, on Wednesday conducted a decoy operation at a spa centre which was indulging in illegal/obscene activities under the guise of a massage parlour and nabbed an organiser. As many as five victims were also rescued.
The raid was conducted at Glowish Beauty Care at A.S. Rao Nagar. One M. Mahesh, 24, the organiser of the spa centre, was nabbed for forcing the victims indulge in illegal sexual activities. Police also seized cash, mobile phones, condom packets and a register book from the place.
“Mahesh, a resident of Kapra, has links with human trafficking organisers and lures young women on contract basis for a period of three to six months with a false promise of providing jobs in spa centres with good salaries. However, when the women reach Hyderabad, they are forced into illegal sexual activities. During interrogation, Mahesh stated that he was running the centre for past few months by procuring women from various parts of the country by contacting his sources,” officials said.
The apprehended organiser, along with the victims, was handed over to Kushaiguda Police for necessary action.
