Telangana: ACB told to submit report on toilet funds

The bench directed the ACB to go through the documents and submit the preliminary report.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has directed the Director General of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau to investigate into the alleged misappropriation of Rs 40 lakh sanctioned by the Union of India for constructing toilets in Narsingi village of Medak district.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice S.V. Bhatt while hearing a suo motu taken PIL, based on a letter by a M. Sekhar Reddy, resident of the village, impleaded the DG of the ACB and Member Secretary, T.S. Legal Service Authority (TLSA), as parties to the case. The bench directed the Member Secretary of the TLSA to submit a comprehensive report on the entire issue by December 18.

The bench directed the ACB to go through the documents and submit the preliminary report.
