Pinarayi Vijayan BJP's godfather, says Chennithala
Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala has hit out at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan saying that he is the BJP's main promoter. “Pinarayi's cha-rge that the Congress is supporting the BJP is aimed at diverting attention from the CPM’s nex-us with the BJP,” Mr Chennithala told repor-ters here on Saturday.
He said the LDF government was misleading the people on the Sabarimala issue. “When the TDB has sought more time to implement the Supreme Court verdict, the government has proposed to earmark two days for women to worship at Sabari-mala,” he said.
"Pinarayi said after meeting the Governor at Raj Bhavan that everything would be fine at Sabarimala. But his wor-ds are hollow like the LDF slogan raised during the elections that “everything would be all right,” he said.
He said the High Court had criticised the government on the Sabarimala issue. It is unfortunate that many pilgrims are denied entry in Sabarim-ala and the temple income had come down.
"The chief minister and the LDF government have been spoiling Sabarimala's name. Pinarayi wants to divert the people’s attention from his government’s failures thro-ugh the Sabarimala issue,” he said.
