Fresh plea in Supreme Court for NIA probe on love jihad'
Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A.M. Khanwilkar and D.Y. Chandrachud told counsel Aishwarya Bhati to await the decision.
New Delhi: Even as the Supreme Court is to hear the Kerala love jihad controversy on November 27, when the girl Akhila alias Hadiya is to be examined, a fresh petition has been filed seeking NIA probe into the conversion of Hindu and Christian girls into Islam in an orchestrated manner.
A three-Judge bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A.M. Khanwilkar and D.Y. Chandrachud told counsel Aishwarya Bhati to await the decision of Hadiya’s case and that the petition from Bindu Sampath alleging that her daughter had been radicalised and sent to Afghanistan would be heard after two weeks.
