WARANGAL URBAN: The safety of the women is the priority of Warangal commissionerate police and the ‘She teams’ would work effectively to save the dignity of women, said Commissioner of Police G. Sudheer Babu.
The commissioner flagged off 12 two wheelers and three interceptor vehicles on Thursday. After the reorganisation of districts, Warangal rural district and Jangaon district were brought under the Warangal commissionerate.
“To serve better in the newly included areas we have launched these new vehicles. We have set up four teams each at Narsampet, Parkal and Jangoan. These teams would be present at important junctions and near colleges or bus stations where eve teasing menace is more.
We intend to use the latest technology to provide better services to the public. Students and women can send their complaints to police WhatsApp number 9491089257 and we will ensure speedy action against the offenders,” Mr Sudheer Babu said.
