Sana Iqbal car accident: Family alleges it's murder
Hyderabad: Sana Iqbal’s family alleged that she was murdered and that the death was being projected as an accident. They claimed that she had earlier lodged a complaint with Humayun Nagar Police, but no action was undertaken. Her mother also said that it was the pathetic attitude of the police that led to her death.
However, Humayun Nagar police said that Sana had lodged a complaint of being harassed in May 2017 and the couple was counseled after that. “After the counseling at the police station, they were sent to Bharosa Counselling Centre for the next level of counseling. There were no further directions from them to register a case, as the couple had probably compromised and reconciled their differences,” said Humayun Nagar inspector NLN Raju.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Sana’s mother Shaheen Khan, an advocate, claimed that she was never happy with the marriage as Sana’s troubles appeared to grow every day right from the beginning.
Her mother said that the couple had been together only for a short period and since then, she had been staying with her mother. “Nobody took good care of her. Every day was a torture for her. On Saturday, she told me to get her out of the hell, but as I was travelling to Chennai, I told her I would settle the issue after coming back.”
