Hyderabad: Three patients who have tested positive for swine flu are undergoing treatment in private hospitals in Hyderabad. The patients, two men and one woman, are from Nalgonda, Anantapur and Kurnool. A senior health officer of IPM said, “The patients had very high fever and cold due to which they were referred to the tertiary care centre in Hyderabad for advanced care. They are under observation right now.”
District medical and health officials of Hyderabad visited the hospital and ensured that preventive medicines were being given to the patients’ relatives so that they did not get the flu. With the winter chill setting in, the virus can spread easily. Dr K. Narsimulu, professor of general medicine, said, “Those who have cold and fever must stay home.”
