New Delhi: Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday said cinema should avoid vulgarity, obscenity and violence as they are disruptors of society.
Addressing the CII Big Picture Summit in Delhi, Naidu said cinema should not only entertain but also have a message for the society.
He said new technologies and practices should also keep in mind thousands year old Indian traditions.
He said the government has set up a film facilitation office to help film-makers get clearances to shoot films in the country.
The minister also said that radio is set to see a major expansion on the conclusion of FM Phase 3 later this month in 92 cities.
