Bharati Pravin thanks PM Modi for sanctioning third Vande Bharat to AP

Vijayawada: The Vijayawada- MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express flagged off from Vijayawada railway station in the presence of Union minister of state for health and family welfare Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar in the inaugural event on Sunday.

The third Vande Bharat Express from the state of Andhra Pradesh was flagged off on Sunday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi (through video conference). Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar graced the inaugural event as chief guest at Vijayawada railway station. The train between the two major southern capitals of Vijayawada and Chennai, connecting the sacred temple town of Tirupati (via Renigunta), is a long-cherished dream for the public. Also, this is the first Vande Bharat train between Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Excitement was writ large at Vijayawada station, with around 1500 audience waiting eagerly to take a glimpse and selfie with the Nation’s most trending hot wheels and pride of the Nation- The Vande Bharat today.

Students travelling in public and officials welcomed the Vande Bharat with huge cheers and jubilation. Schoolchildren were dressed up in the attire of iconic freedom fighters to greet the nation’s heartthrob, including cultural performers. The crowd boisterously chanted the slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' on this momentous occasion.

Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar, commenced her speech with the slogan “Bharat Mata ki Jai '' with a terrific and thunderous response from the crowd. She thanked PM Narendra Modi, railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Government of India for providing Andhra Pradesh with the third Vande Bharath in just a span of nine months. She stated that more than 1 crore people had travelled on this indigenous semi-high-speed train till date.

Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar lauded the grand vision of PM Modi to make the nation self-reliant and self-sustainable in all its forms. She termed year 2023 as one of the momentous years with regard to rail travel and the upgradation of rail infrastructure and called the Vande Bharat the real pride of India. She thanked the crowd for turning up in huge numbers with an amazing and thunderous reception.

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas, mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi, Malladi Vishnu, MLA, Vijayawada Central thanked PM Modi for providing the third Vande Bharat to the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The iconic Vande Bharat chugged off with huge fanfares, pomp, and gaiety from Vijayawada railway station. Narendra A. Patil, divisional railway manager, Vijayawada; D. Srinivasa Rao, ADRM, infrastructure; M. Srikanth, ADRM, operations; and senior railway officials took part in the event.
