Gauri Lankesh case: Mangaluru court rejects bail pleas of four

The four had moved a petition for anticipatory bail before the court.

Mangaluru: The first Additional District and Session Court on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail applications of four people, who received notices for inquiry from the SIT probing the journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh murder.

The four from Sullia – Mohan, Kumudaksha, Yathish M. and Yatheen B. had received notices dated July 27 to appear for inquiry before the SIT on July 30. The four had moved a petition for anticipatory bail before the court. The petition was opposed by the Public Prosecutor. The court on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail of all the four. Earlier, the SIT had arrested Mohan Nayak of Sullia for providing shelter to the accused in Gauri murder case.
