Hyderabad: Roads and footpaths, tourist hubs like Shamirpet Lake, Gunrock Fort and local railway stations are used by tipplers to consume alcohol.
These tourist spots have been reduced to a hangout zone for anti-social elements, said a social activist.
The police has been conducting regular raids to keep tipplers at bay at tourists destinations. “We have built walls at Gunrock Fort and there is regular patrolling by the police,” said R. Satyanarayana Raju, inspector, Trimulgherry.
