Won’t let YSRC tread TD path, says Ram Madhav
TIRUPATI: Asserting that the YSR Congress government would not be allowed to tread the path of its predecessor, the Telugu Desam, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav said that his party will not let the people of AP face the hardships they experienced during TD rule.
The BJP senior leader was speaking at a party membership drive programme in Tirupati after darshan at Tirumala on Saturday.
“The TD government was a total failure. It got deeply immersed in corruption. If the situation repeats in the state, BJP will not spare anyone and will help the people come out of that crisis,” he said
Maintaining that Central government had extended all possible help to AP and would continue to facilitate its development in the coming years, the BJP leader said, “There is political vacuum in AP and our party would try to fill it by playing an active role as an opposition. The party cadre should rise to the occasion if people are seen suffering due to government’s failure.”
Expressing concern over the pro-Christian advertisement published on Tirumala-Tirupati bus tickets that kicked up a row among Hindu circles, he said that he strongly condemned the incident.
Former TD leader and civil supplies chairman S. Jayachandra Reddy and IMA former leader Dr Krishna Prshanthi joined the party in the presence of Ram Madhav and the party state president Kanna Lakshminarayana.
