Chennai: Techie lures 600 women to strip for job, arrested

The software engineer who was arrested from Chennai, had said that he began collecting mobile numbers of women because he was frustrated.

Chennai: Posing as HR manager, a techie here posed allegedly lured around 600 women from 16 states to send their nudes photos and videos, under the pretext of providing them jobs in a five-star hotel.

The techie, Clement Raj Chezhiyan alias Pradeep (33), was arrested by Cyberabad police from his Chennai home and brought to Hyderabad after a woman lodged a complaint against him.

Investigations revealed that Pradeep, employee of a well-known IT firm, was running a fake HR office from home, and has confessed to having duped 600 women.

The software engineer who was arrested from Chennai, had said that he began collecting mobile numbers of women because he was frustrated.

He contacted several women pretending to be an HR manager of a prominent five-star hotel, looking for attractive women for front office jobs. Later, he had asked them to share their nude photos taken from several angles, saying the company was very particular about the candidate's figure since it was a front-office job, and
subsequently, used those photos to extort money from them.
