Congress leaders ask Chandrasekhar Rao to focus on Telangana demands

He asked Mr Chandrasekhar Rao to bring pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on implementation of division assurances.

Hyderabad: Telangana CLP Deputy Leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy asked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to utilise his Delhi visit to get sanctions on pending assurances. It was not correct to use the visit only for political purposes, he said. Speaking to the media on Friday, Sudhakar Reddy alleged that the CM was trying to divert public attention from his failures by talking about early elections and Pragathi Nivedana Sabha. Sudhakar Reddy was critical that the CM was not taking care of any assurances given to Telangana in the AP Reorganization act. He asked Mr Chandrasekhar Rao to bring pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on implementation of division assurances.

He said that the CM should tell the people only facts in the Pragathi Nivedana Sabha, about the scams and land grabbing, about how many complaints were received on corruption on the toll free number in the CM’s office and on how many complaints was action taken. Mr Sudhakar Reddy said that TPCC would speed up its activities so that the Congress was able to come to power on its own. He added that there was no necessity to speak about alliances at present.
