KAKINADA: The Andhra Pradesh Housing Corporation chairman Varla Ramaiah asked the people of Kakinada not to allow entry to YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy into the city while demanding that the police arrest him when he enters Kakinada because charges have been booked against him for his remarks against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

He told reporters here on Thursday at the TD district office that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy was not considering the age of Mr Naidu while making comments against him in Nandyal byelection. The Prima Facie has been proved and the election commission filed a case against him. He questioned the police why Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy was not arrested though he was booked in criminal cases.

He said the YSRC leader has a criminal nature with 11 chargesheets filed against him for economic offences. He said the TD would win Nandyal byelection with 10,000 majority of votes. Labour welfare minister Pithani Satyanarayana said Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s behaviour is not acceptable to society. He said the TD has been working to develop Kakinada and would win the Kakinada Municipal Corporation elections. He said Rs 1,212 crore were being spent for development of the city. He said there was no misuse of power by the ruling TD in this election and he was getting ready for any debate on this matter.
