Artist produces miniature idol

Musavir has produced a miniature idol of Lord Ganesh using 80 milligrams of gold and named it as Haritha Ganesh.

Nellore: Nellore based popular miniature objectives and paintings makers Shaik Musavir and Shaik Ameer John have came out with different forms of Lord Ganesh on the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi scheduled for Friday. Mr Musavir has produced a miniature idol of Lord Ganesh using 80 milligrams of gold and named it as Haritha Ganesh. He displayed the 0.7 cm height and 0.7 cm width tiny Ganesh atop his little finger nail much to the awe of the onlookers.

He said it took him almost a day to make the idol and his aim is to make people buy only eco-friendly idols. Mr Musavir has won several awards for his work. Mr Ameer John another artist has painted 222 idols in different forms on a 15 cm pencil using acrylic colours. He said he did not use any lens while painting and completed the work in 2 hours. He has bagged Limca Records for painting 2,000 Vinayakas on a coconut and 1,296 miniature Ganesh paintings in the past.
