Thiruvananthapuram: The India meteorological department (IMD) says the intensity of the rainfall over the state has come down. The Met predicted light to moderate rainfall on Thursday in all districts and withdrew the yellow alert declared for Kannur and Kasargod on Thursday and Kasargod on Friday.
However, there is a yellow alert for Lakshadweep on Thursday. There would be no extremely heavy rains in the state in the coming days, it forecast. The torrential downpour has reduced its strength.
Strong winds from southwesterly direction speed reaching 40-50 kmph are likely to prevail over Sout-hwest and West-central Arabian Sea on Thursday to Sunday. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas. Rain occurred at most places in Kerala and Lakshadweep on Wednesday
