Secunderabad Cantonment Board gears up for President Ram Nath Kovind's city visit

HYDERABAD: Arrangements are being made in the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) area as the President Ram Nath Kovind will be arriving at the Rashtrapathi Nilayam which is located at Bolarum, one of the presidential retreats, next month. The President would be attending the convocation ceremony at IIIT Hyderabad.

SCB officials said that a series of meetings had been conducted with generals and other officials. All the departments have been pulled in to ensure that best efforts are made for the visit. Groundwork like the repair of roads have started. Water connectivity, electricity and everything is being checked.

There will be two routes ready for the President to travel to the venue, one will be the main road and there will also be another alternate road, which is confidential. The President would be arriving the Begumpet Airport on August 4. That night he would be staying at the Raj Bhavan.
