The court also directed the TTD to ask Agama Pandits whether Agama Shastras will permit the devotees to watch the fete through television or not and inform it about this by July 26. A Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice Thottathil Bhaskaran Nair Radhakrishnan and Justice V. Ramasubramanian, was dealing with a PIL seeking to order a CBI probe into the income and expenditure of the TTD and also untraceable antiques of Lord Venkateswara and directed the Archaeological Survey of India to explain on which basis it had issued a circular declaring the TTD and its group of temples located at Tirumala as protected monuments.

The petitioners filed an application to direct the TTD to videograph the Maha Samprokshanam fete and also to live telecast it. The counsel for the petitioner told the court that the TTD had decided to not to allow the devotees to Tirumala during the fete and it had also announced that all the CCTV cameras would be switched off during the Maha Samprokshanam and the decision of the TTD had created doubts in the minds of many devotees. He said that to clear the doubts, it will be better to direct the TTD to live telecast the entire fete.
