BJP leader picks potholes in Dr G Parameshwar's claims

Ramesh said, \"Dr Parameshwar is misleading us by sharing information about potholes sitting at his office.

Bengaluru: Contrary to the claims of Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwar that 14,299 potholes dotting the city have been filled, BJP city unit spokesperson N.R. Ramesh alleged the city still has over 8,000 potholes.

Ramesh said, "Dr Parameshwar is misleading us by sharing information about potholes sitting at his office. He claimed that of the 15,239 potholes identified since June, 14,299 have been filled and only 940 remain to be attended."

"This is far from reality. In the survey taken up by us on roads in Shanti Nagar, Shivaji Nagar, Gandhinagar, Chickpet and Chamrajpet, the city has not less than 8,000 potholes" Ramesh claimed. He challenged Dr Parameshwar to visit the roads nearby and to know firsthand the number of potholes in the city and how officials have been successful in turning this exercise into a money making mechanism.
