Hyderabad: The body of a newborn girl child was found in a pit in Medchal on Monday. Police said that the dogs could have fed on the body.
Residents of Muneerabad found the body in a pit beside a community hall on Monday morning and informed the village authorities, who alerted the police.
The body was recovered from the pit, but it was difficult to identify as stray dogs seemed to have eaten parts of the body. Police has registered a case and shifted the body for autopsy.
