Special trains for Krishna Pushkaralu

28 services will be operated between Secunderabad and Kakinda Port.

Amaravati: The railway department will run 112 special trains to meet the rush during Krishna Pushkaralu. These trains will stop at Mangalagiri, Peddaku-rapadu, Pondugala and Vishnupuram railway stations besides Guntur to help the devotees to reach their desired Pushkar ghats.

In order to meet the anticipated extra rush of passenger traffic during the ensuing Krishna Pushkaram to be held from August 12 to 23, South Central Railway (SCR) will run as many as 112 special train services over Guntur Division. In reserved category, 28 services will be operated between Secunderabad and Kakinda Port.

As many as 20 services would be operated between Visakhapatnam and Guntur, 8 services will be operated between Guntur and Puri and four each services will be operated between Kacheguda and Kakinda and between Guntur and Kakinada.

In all, 24 train services under unreserved category will be operated between Hyderabad and Guntur and between Guntakal and Krishna Canal.

To enable the passengers to reach their Pushkar ghats, all the trains will be provided stoppages at Vishnupuram, Pondugala, Pedd-akurapadu and Manga-lagiri stations.
