TRS begins work on party offices

TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao laid the foundation stone for the construction of the party office at Sircilla.

Hyderabad: On the orders of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti leadership, ministers, party MLAs, MLCs, MPs and Zilla Parishad chairpersons laid foundation stones for party offices in their respective districts on Monday. Out of the state’s 33 districts, the foundation stones were laid in 29 districts.

The state government has allotted one acre of land in each district for the construction of the party offices and the TRS has provided Rs 60 lakh to each district for the purpose.

The party office in Khamman is ready and the foundation stone of the office in Wanaparthy was laid recently. For the construction of party offices in Hyderabad and Warangal rural districts land is yet to be allotted by the state government.

The TRS wants to construct its Hyderabad city office close to the party headquarters, Telangana Bhavan, in Banjara Hills.

The construction of party office buildings in all districts will be completed by Dasara.

A membership drive is also on the cards and will start after the executive committee meeting on June 27.
