SIT digs out 30 kg gold from IMA’s 2nd office

Mansoor also expressed fears for his life if he returned to India.

Bengaluru: As SIT sleuths, Monday, raided another gold deposit office of IMA in Shivajinagar, finding 30 kg of gold ornaments pledged by investors at this office, which is close to the IMA's head office in Shivajinagar, Special Investigation Team chief Dr B.R. Ravikanthe Gowda said that his team has taken a serious note of the video released by IMA managing director Mohammad Mansoor Khan on Sunday, and was prepared to offer him security if he chose to return.

Mansoor has accused several IMA directors, politicians and maulvis of swindling the company's money in the video, and Mr Gowda said that the team is investigating the case and will serve notices to them if any evidence is found.

Mansoor also expressed fears for his life if he returned to India. The SIT chief said that the police will provide him full security if he and his family opted to return.

Mansoor alleged in the video that former Rajya Sabha member K. Rahman Khan, Congress worker Mohammad Obaidullah Sharief, MLC Sarvananju, an Urdu newspaper editor Khaliq Ahmad, Mukhtar Ahmad, who was booked under TADA were involved.
