Jagtial: A 24-year old woman has successfully delivered triplets at the district government main hospital here in the late hours on Sunday.
Ms Shirisha, a native of Chintapalli in Manche-rial district was admitted in the government main hospital in Jagtial by her parents after labour pain started. It was her first delivery. She delivered two baby boys and a girl.
After conducting the delivery successfully, the doctors said that a normal pregnancy would last for about 40 weeks. The average duration of pregnancy in case of triplets would be 34 weeks and for quadruplets, it would be 32 weeks. Continuing a pregnancy with triplets for 40 weeks is risky for mother and babies.
