Traffic curbs for Id-ul-Fitr prayers in Hyderabad

Cycle-rickshaws and cycles will not be allowed to proceed to the Idgah from the Idgah crossroads.

Hyderabad: Police commissioner M. Mahender Reddy has imposed restrictions on movement of traffic at the Mir Alam Tank Idgah and the Secunderabad Idgah for Id-ul-Fitr prayers on the day of the festival, June 26 or 27.

All vehicles proceeding towards Idgah Mir Alam for prayers will be allowed via Puranapul, Kamatipura, Kishanbagh and Bahadurpura crossroads from 8 am to 11.30 am. During this period, general traffic will not be allowed to proceed Idgah from Bahadur-pura crossroads and will be diverted towards Kishanbagh or Kamatipura. Cycle-rickshaws and cycles will not be allowed to proceed to the Idgah from the Idgah crossroads.

Motorists from Shivrampally, NPA heading to the Idgah will be allowed, traffic towards Bahadurpura crossroads will be diverted at Danamma Huts ‘T’ Junction towards Aliabad.

After the Id, all fast moving vehicles from Puranapul towards Idgah will be diverted towards City College road till the congregation disperses.

At Secunderabad Idgah, all vehicular traffic coming from Brooke Bond Centre and from CTO X Roads will be diverted at Idgah crossroads towards Tadbun, the commissioner’s press note said.
