The work of the pit has also slowed down forty feet down, they hit rock. Work was stalled for a bit. Now the width of the pit has been widened up to 30 feet and the digging process has started again.

Efforts to pump out water has started. Meanwhile, health officials in the rescue work, said that though oxygen was supplied till Friday, the chances of her survival are impossible.

Transport minister P. Mahender Reddy said that the girl was last seen on Friday afternoon, before the motor was pulled up from the borewell. “But on Saturday, the cameras could not identify her. Only some stains on the inner walls of the well were captured. Despite water from the well being pumped out, there was no trace of the girl”, the minister said.

Meanwhile, a team of doctors are ready with emergency equipment to provide immediate medical assistance to the child after retrieving her from the well. The officials are also assuring the panic-stricken parents that they will bring out the child safely.
