Additional collector succumbs to coronavirus in Rajanna Sircilla district

KARIMNAGAR: Rajanna Sircilla district additional collector R. Anjaiah has succumbed to Coronavirus that he had contracted 10 days ago.

Soon after the 55-year-old got infected 10 days ago, his family members admitted him to a private hospital in Hyderabad, where he breathed his last breath on Tuesday.

A native of Nalgonda district, Anjaiah was the district revenue officer of Nizamabad before he came on promotion to Rajannna Sircilla district as additional collector.

Rajannna Sircilla collector D. Krishna Bhaskar expressed extreme shock over the demise of Anjaiah. Bhaskar said within a short period of time as additional collector, Anjaiah had established very good relations with officials of various departments and earned a good name for his services.
“We all expected he would return soon after winning his battle with the Covid-19,” he observed, expressing his condolences to the bereaved family.
