Ooty: Student riders of the famed Lawrence School, Lovedale stunned spectators with their dazzling skills at the equestrian show held at the school premises on Friday, in connection with the 161st founder's day celebrations of the school.
Be it flag salute, fun games, free hand jumping, hanky picking or gymnastics and such events scheduled for the show on horseback, the students reveled in their skills.
The comfort and courage with which they handled the horses and proved their skills on the saddle, exhibited how well they had been coached to perfection.
Yugesh Ranganath, a class 7 student, and an emerging equestrian talent in the school, said it was a challenge and thrill to handle horses, especially, establishing a quick rapport with them, and do all the equestrian events.
"The equestrian training and events help riders to improve their concentration levels and help shed fear. They help develop confidence besides helping them to be physically fit and agile.
The equestrian events help riders to experience the joy of this game, clubbed with adventure," he added.
