Merge SCB with GHMC: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: TPCC working president and newly-elected Malkajgiri MP A. Revanth Reddy demanded that the Secunderabad Cantonment Board be removed and the area merged with the GHMC.
The civic body could look after the needs of the people of the area, he said.
Speaking to mediapersons on Friday, he demanded the removal of the Anglo-Indian quota in the state Assemblies and in Parliament.
He said that 70 years after India became independent, there were no Anglo-Indians and everyone was an Indian. He said that a quota should be provided, instead, for the transgender community.
He said that his first priority was to resolve the problems being faced by the people of the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency. He said he would develop Malkajgiri as another Noida.
Mr Reddy said he would fight for Bayyaram steel plant, tribal university, railway coach factory at Kazipet and other assurances mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Act.
