Hyderabad: Traffic curbs for Ramzan shopping

The restrictions will be place from Madina to Himmatpura for 12 days from Saturday till Id-ul-Fitr.

Hyderabad: Additional commissioner of police, traffic, Anil Kumar, has imposed restrictions on the movement of buses and other heavy vehicles in the Old City in view of the rush for Ramzan shopping in the areas surrounding Charminar.

The restrictions will be place from Madina to Himmatpura for 12 days from Saturday till Id-ul-Fitr.

General vehicles

No vehicular traffic will be allowed beyond the following points to avoid traffic congestion and facilitate movement of pedestrians. Mitti ka Sher, Kalikaman, Lad Bazaar, Motigalli, Panch Mohalla, Chowk Maidan Khan, Gulzar Houz, Lakkadkote.

City buses

All city buses coming from Falaknuma, Engine Bowli, S.A. Chaburtra, Lal Darwaza, Shalibanda are to ply up to Charminar bus stand. These buses are to take a left turn at Himmapura, proceed via Motigalli, Moosabowli and City College.

Route 94 and other buses will go straight from Afzalgunj towards Bhulaxmi Temple, MJ Bridge, City College, Puranapul.

According to the local situation RTC buses from Bahadurpura side will not be allowed towards City College and will be diverted at Puranapul towards Jumerat Bazaar, Bhulaxmi temple and Afzalgunj.

Long-distance buses

RTC district buses towards Mahbubnagar, Kurnool, Bengaluru, Srisailam will travel on the route: MGBS, Chaderghat, Nalgonda crossoads, Chanchalguda, IS Sadan, Santoshnagar, DMRL, Phisalbanda, MBNR flyover, Bandlaguda, Aramghar.

Parking

Parking will be allowed at these points: Charminar bus stand, Quli Qutub Shah Stadium, near City College, Pension Office at Khilwath, Khilwath Grounds,Mufeed-ul-Alam School Ground at Kotla Alija.
