TDP Mahanadu: Absence of top leaders, a worry

There are speculations that Mr Narasimhulu may join the TRS.

Hyderabad: Giving a shock to the party leadership, TD legislator R. Krishnaiah and senior leader and former minister Motkupally Narasimhulu did not participate in the party conclave attended by party president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, here on Thursday. The TD has two MLAs in the TS Assembly — Mr Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and Mr Krishnaiah — a prominent BC leader.

Mr Krishnaiah had recently said that BC groups were asking him to form a political party, and this was the best time. Mr Krishnaiah that parties like the TD and the Congress were based on castes and the the BCs did not have a party of their own. Former minister Narasimhulu is unhappy with the TS TD leadership and has been keeping away from party activities for long.

There are speculations that Mr Narasimhulu may join the TRS. Mr Narasimhulu had recently criticised party leaders over their style of functioning. Sources close to Mr Narasimhulu had said that he would have gone to the Mahanadu if Mr Naidu invited him and discussed several party issues.
