Bengaluru: Pedal past last mile connectivity blues
One of the advantage of this bike sharing service is that you don't have to drop the bicycle from where it was picked up.

Bengaluru: The city's notorious traffic gridlocks, especially during peak hours, and lack of last mile connectivity in areas touched by Metro trains and BMTC bus services has made commuting a major ordeal for its residents.
Mobycy, a smart and dockless bike (bicycle) sharing application, aims to help commuters deal with last mile connectivity by offering station-less bicycle and at a nominal cost of just Rs 10 per hour. One of the advantage of this bike sharing service is that you don't have to drop the bicycle from where it was picked up. It has multiple parking points for the convenience of users.
Keshav Murthy, an accountant by profession, regularly uses Mobycy service and claims he can save time to reach his destination and it is very cheap. It is also solution for endlessly flagging down auto rickshaws or wait for cabs after booking them, he added. “I commute to Koramangala both by metro train and BMTC. I was so thrilled to find Mobycy service right next to the bus stop. I take bicycle to reach the office which is one-and-a-half kilometers further towards Jakkasandra. Sometimes, we go in group to shop and for lunch too,” Murthy said.
In addition, it is also environment friendly and a healthy way to burn calories. Mobycy's anytime, anywhere bicycles facility offers greater flexibility. In other apps the bicycle had to be dropped back from where it was picked up.
But Mobycy users can drop bicycles at any mobycy parking lot and also avoid paying additional convenience fee. However, it has to be parked responsibly in a public space, Murthy said.
