Hyderabad: Medical PG course aspirants have decided to move a lunch motion before the vacation bench of the High Court on Thursday, challenging the managements of private medical colleges for insisting on a bank guarantee for 50 percent of the fee.

Earlier, a vacation bench of the HC had ordered the students to pay 50 per cent of the fee in cash and execute a bond for the rest. The Health Care Reforms Doctors Association, Osmania Junior Doctors Association and AP Junior Doctors Associations had earlier moved the HC challenging the governments of TS and AP for enhancing the admission fee for PG medical courses. A single judge had stayed the TS GO for four weeks.

The managements of private medical colleges moved a vacation bench seeking vacation of stay. The bench while vacating the stay directed the private medical colleges of both states to accept 50 per cent of enhanced fee in cash; students must execute a bond for the remaining sum. The students alleged that the managements were refusing the bonds and insisting on bank guarantee.
