He was a pillar of strength for family: Prakash

He mentioned that he was a teacher for him and several others.

Bengaluru: The family members of the deceased people, who were killed in Sri Lanka, were inconsolable. They were shell shocked when they saw the bodies of their dear ones and could not contain their grief.

Prakash, brother of Govenahalli Shivanna said, “He was a pillar for our family, who held every one together. He used to always have a smile on his face, no matter how difficult the situation was. Even now, he is smiling in his death. God has been cruel to us and all the people who were killed in the bomb blast.”

“Shivanna was an inspiration for us and helped me in all ways. Now, we have to be brave and think that his presence is always around us,” cried Prakash. Hanumanthrayappa’s relative Venkatesh said that he is still not able to digest the fact this he is dead. “I still cannot imagine the amount of pain he might have undergone, when he was killed by a bomb. He could not even stand the sight of blood. But now look what has happened to him,” he added.

He mentioned that he was a teacher for him and several others. “We used to ask him for suggestions and advice related to any matter. Now, whom do we turn to when in crisis? He had huge dreams of providing free education to underprivileged kids and also to make it big in politics. But alas, all those dreams have been shattered.”

The bodies were laid to rest after performing the final rituals while people continued to visit the houses to offer their condolences to the families.
