TTV Dhinakaran's Fera case adjourned to April 27

He is being questioned by Crime Branch in New Delhi for the third consecutive day on Monday.

Chennai: The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (EO-II) has adjourned a Foreign Exchange Regulation Act (Fera) case registered against AIADMK deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran to April 27 as he is being questioned by Crime Branch in New Delhi for the third consecutive day on Monday in connection with allegation of bribing of an EC official to get the party’s ‘two-leaves’ symbol.

When the matter came up for hearing before judge S. Malarmathy, Dhinakaran’s counsel informed the court that he was not able to appear before court as he was in Delhi. When the judge asked whether he was arrested, the counsel said he was not arrested but appearing before police and sought adjournment. Judge posted the matter to April 27 for framing charge against him.

Court would frame charges against him in the Fera case registered by ED for illegally routing of 36.36 crore US Dollar and 1 lakh Pounds for starting star hotel in UK.
