Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the TSPSC question paper leak, on Saturday served a fresh notice to BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar asking him to appear before it on Sunday and submit evidence to substantiate his claims in the case.
This is the second SIT notice to the BJP leader and this time too, Sanjay is not expected to present himself before the probe team as he will be away in Bidar on Sunday campaigning for the BJP for the upcoming elections in that state.
Party leaders from Telangana, including Sanjay, are being deputed to campaign for the Karnataka Assembly elections in areas with a strong presence of Telugu speaking people. A few days ago, party vice-president D.K. Aruna too took part in some election rallies in Karnataka.
Party sources said in Sanjay’s absence, his legal team will meet with SIT officials on Sunday.
When the SIT first served notices on Sanjay, the copies of the order were pasted on the wall of his house and the BJP leader said he did not receive those orders. Following this, a fresh notice was served on him on Sunday.
The SIT is asking Sanjay to present evidence on his claims that BRS leaders, including IT minister K.T. Rama Rao’s staff, and indirectly the minister himself, had a role to play in the TSPSC question paper leak.
The SIT had also served notice to TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy who appeared before it and demanded that the investigation team also summon Rama Rao, contending that he has all the information about the scam because the Minister claimed only two people were behind the paper leak.
