Warangal: Voters must know their rights

Warangal: Denizens must utilise the service of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) to find out if they are listed in the electoral rolls and also learn about the rights of a voter, said Mahbubabad returning officer and district collector, Ch Shiva Lingaiah. A voter awareness rally from the Mother Teresa statue to the bus station and a signature campaign was held in Mahbubabad town on Sunday.

A massive human chain was formed near the bus station and slogans on right to vote were raised. A selfie point was also inaugurated on the occasion.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Mr Lingaiah said, “Physically challenged voters will be provided with free transport facility to the booth. Wheelchair facility will be made available. Hearing impaired voters will be explained about the process in sign language. Blind voters can cast their votes through Braille script.”
