Andhra Pradesh will be leader in technology by 2022: Nara Lokesh
TIRUPATI: Andhra Pradesh will lead the country by 2022 when it comes to Digital Technology said IT minister Nara Lokesh. Mr Lokesh attended the IITD graduation day along with the APITA job fair’s valedictory at Amararaja auditorium in Tirupati on Saturday. APITA organised two job fairs recently in Visakhapatnam and Chittoor. About 23,000 students registered of which 15,700 students took part in the job fair. Among the participants 2,209 students were short listed and 2,037 were finally placed in the jobs. In the placements 816 were done in IT sector and 1,221 were placed in IT enabled services.
Nara Lokesh handed over appointment letters to students, who secured the jobs. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Lokesh said, “Youth should remember that failures are stepping stones to success. We are working hard and will reach the leading position in the country in Digital Technology by 2022. Our primary target is to provide 1 lakh jobs in IT sector and 2 lakh in the mobile industry.”
“There is no other minister in the country handling Panchayat and IT alone. This is given to one me here, as we can utilise technology in development of villages. This is the vision of Mr Naidu. IITD will be among the top 20 Technology Institutes in the world.
