Hyderabad: The state government has identified locations for setting up four new multispecialty hospitals in government sector surrounding Hyderabad.
Health minister C. Laxma Reddy informed the Legislative Assembly on Friday that each hospital will have 750 beds.
He said the four hospitals have been proposed to be set up at Victoria Memorial Home in LB Nagar, Mylardevapally in Rajendranagar, near Petbasheerabad police station and near Miyapur bus terminal.
“These locations have been identified and submitted to government for approval. Construction will commence soon after getting government nod,” he said.
The existing Osmania and Gandhi hospitals in the city were established long ago and are not in a position to cater to the present rush.
